The Road Less Traveled 2

Traveling is one of my most favorite things to do. I love exploring new spaces and tasting the local flavors of places near and far. Whether I was in France or the Caribbean or on one of the lesser traveled roads of Georgia, I’ve relished the adventure of travel. Now, I mostly travel with my family of six in tow, which is both fantastic and painstaking at the same time. We are all creating memories with each trip though, and they will live on long after we are back home. One wonder-filled smile is worth the hard work it took to get there.

And yes, sometimes travel can be work. For those road warriors who travel for their job, check out our story on “Making Business Travel Pleasurable”. To prepare yourself to deal with travel adversities, be sure to read “When Travel Goes Wrong”. If you are looking for some inspiration for your next trip, the stories on walking through Japan or visiting El Paso may give you some unique ideas. Also read “Worth the Trip” for some unforgettable travel options both near and far.

As we move slowly into the steaminess of our Southern summer, I wish you a cool breeze through your window and an ice-filled drink in your hand. Until next month, I’ll see you getting frozen yogurt at Sub Zero, taking advantage of the outdoor pool at the Buckhead YMCA or enjoying a frozen margarita at Zama’s.

In My Bag

This month I have two travel-related products that have recently been introduced. The Travalo is a tiny TSA-approved tube that lets you travel with your favorite perfume. Genius! The mifold is the most compact and portable child car safety seat in the world. It is ten times smaller than a regular booster seat but is just as safe! Perfect for travel.
