Cobb Police Chief John Houser Retired

Cobb County Police Chief John Houser retired on January 27. He served as Cobb’s police chief since 2010 and in the Cobb County Police Department for 32 years. A Cobb resident for nearly 40 years, Houser is also the founder and race director for the Cobb County Make-A-Wish 5K.

Cobb Chamber Names Trey Sanders of Brasfield & Gorrie 
as its 2018 Chairman

The Cobb Chamber has named Trey Sanders, regional president of Brasfield & Gorrie and a member of the corporate strategic planning team, as its 2018 chairman. Brasfield & Gorrie is the largest general contractor in the Southeast and an engaged chamber member for 30 years. Sanders has been involved in the Cobb Chamber for seven years and served on the board of directors executive committee.

Callie Andrews, chief operating officer, received the Early Career Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award. The award recognizes American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) members who have made significant contributions to the advancement of healthcare management excellence.
