Owner of Georgia Luxury Automotive in Smyrna and Norcross

As in the famed Joe Walsh song, his Maserati does 185—and then some. Iranian-born Zach Kafaei turned 40 this year; to celebrate this milestone he got himself a magnificent Maserati as a birthday gift. It is a fitting reward for 25 demanding years of work in the automotive industry. He wanted a Ferrari, but a two-seat compact car does not appropriately fit the lifestyle of a father of three. A four-seat luxury sports sedan allows him to share driving experiences with his family in comfort and style. After all, Maserati is a sister company to Ferrari. Zach is thrilled by its performance as a vehicle for many family weekend excursions to the north Georgia mountains.

Zach’s auto career started at 15; he was fixing and selling cars as a mechanic’s apprentice before even having his own driver’s license. His passion for electronics engineering and entrepreneurial ability to make a good living while still in high school helped him support his immigrant family growing up. Man and machine are quite alike: he is high-performance-driven, just like his car.

“On weekends, I drive everywhere with my kids for our fun together.”
