Who is a mover & shaker that has inspired you?

My brother, Justin Young. Although he is three years younger, I look up to him in so many ways. In 2007, he started off as an outside sales rep for Republic Services here in Atlanta. In 2016 he earned his MBA from Georgia State’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, all while working full-time and being a full-time father and husband. Today he is now the general manager for Republic.

What is your five-word mission statement?

How has your work changed your community?

I would like to think my work with the youth and young adults in my communities has inspired them to better their future financial lives. I stress to them the importance of knowing what a credit union is and how we can assist them in meeting their financial goals. I take pride in being a positive influence on the lives of the youth in our communities.

What is your superpower?

Coaching and mentoring. I really take pride in coaching and mentoring to help people to maximize their potential.

His collegiate career started at the University of Georgia, where he achieved an undergraduate degree in microbiology. He then attended the University of Tennessee. He is currently working as a premier dentist at Heart of Vinings Dentistry and living in Atlanta with his beautiful wife, Heena, and their 2-year-old daughter, Mila. Who is a mover & shaker that has inspired you?

All of the sharks on “Shark Tank” and my dad. My father immigrated from India to the U.S. with nothing to his name. He and my mother worked hard to give my brother and me opportunities to become who we are today. The sharks also came from limited means and made something of themselves. We are all able to live the American dream.

What is your five-word mission statement?

Put yourself in their shoes.

How has your work changed your community?

Over the past four years, my team and I have had the opportunity to treat and educate our patients about the importance of how oral health affects systemic health.

What is your superpower?

Empathy. Growing up, I spent quite some time at the dentist. Being able to relate to my patients has empowered me into helping patients get over their fear of the dentist.
